The Post In Which I Confess My Love for Camden’s Teacher

Camden started pre-school this year. He loves everything about it! His friends, eating lunch at school with all the other kids, being a big boy, art projects… oh yeah… and his teacher Miss J. I am clearly masking her identity for privacy.

From the moment I met Miss J, she was the most calm, kind, and easy going teacher ever. And you could see how much all of the kids truly adore and love her.

We are almost half way through the school year, and I have to confess… I absolutely love his teacher. We could not have asked for a better pre-school teacher to prepare him for kindergarten next year.

Every school day when I head in to pick him up from his class room they are always doing something neat. Crafts, circle time, reading a book… whatever. Which is extremely important to me. I wanted to make sure he was in a program where he really was learning, not just a daycare type program to watch him for 4 hours, three times a week.

Now that Christmas is here, I want to be able to do something nice for her, a gift card, or some kind of small teacher gift. Mainly something homemade, because we are barely squeaking by for Christmas this year, but I just want it to be something that really shows how much we appreciate her as a teacher.

I mean… lets all be serious here. Teachers are really under appreciated these days, and we see that day-in and day-out right?

So giving back just a tiny bit and letting them know that we are parents truly appreciate all the hard work they are doing is so important!

I can only hope that next year Camden has as great of a teacher as Miss J, and I am excited that Ben will be able to benefit from her class in the future!  And I hope Addison too!

What are you getting your children’s teacher/teachers for Christmas?
